Besanya is an aspiring singer, actress, and model... also totally down to earth and really fun to hang out with! She brought along her best friend and hairstylist, Michelle, and I did her makeup. We had a great time shooting at various spots in downtown Jacksonville (Memorial Park, Riverside, and Friendship Park). The weather was definitely not on our side, but in between rain drops, we managed to get some great shots... And I can't wait for her to get famous so I can say I was one of the first to shoot with her!
About Me
- Lisa Silva Photography
- My name is Lisa Silva and I just graduated UNF with my BFA in Photography.... I'm ready to take on the wedding and fashion industry full force!!! I've been involved in photography for over 11 years now. I love shooting couples, families, models, weddings, and events! My absolute favorite genre of photography is fashion and I try to incorporate it into all of my work. I love every aspect of it, from choosing the wardrobe and setting, to doing the model's makeup. I love art in all forms and I try to bring a taste of fashion and fine art into every portrait I take. But enough about me... I wanna hear about you!!! I would love to work with you to bring your vision to life... whether it be capturing all the love and emotion on your wedding day, taking pictures of your children or family, documenting your pregnancy, doing some sexy shots for your significant other.... or just unleashing your inner diva and doing a fashion shoot! The lab I work with offers amazing products... everything from wedding albums, to comp cards, to wall art, or regular prints with great quality! I look forward to meeting you and helping your vision come to life!

Ashley and Stewart's Engagement Party
I shot Ashley and Stewart's engagement party around two weeks ago, just finished editing the photos, and couldn't wait to put them up! It was a great day. First we met at Ashley's family's home to take some group shots, and then we headed to Cortesse's Bistro in St. Augustine for the party. I had never been there before but it was such a beautiful little restaurant with amazing food! Ashley, Stuart, and their families are all wonderful people and I had a blast shooting their party! Best of luck to both of you in the future... I know planning a wedding is stressful (I've been there) but the end result is SO worth it! And remember... check out the Casa Marina :)
Here's just a few of the pictures I took that day:
Cortesse's Bistro:
such a beautiful place...
and the food wasn't bad either...

Brenna, Kirsten, and Jessica
I shot Jessica and her 6 year old twin girls at Maclay Gardens in Tallahassee, FL. This was a fun shoot for me because I have known these girls since they were days old, (they are one of my best friend's nieces) We had a blast... till the kids got sick of it all, and that's when I brought out my secret weapon: giant lolly pops. I learned a long time ago, when shooting kids ALWAYS bring candy. Not only did it make the girls happy again, the candy made for some pretty cool props too. And the best part was when Brenna told me she now wants to be a photographer... pretty impressive because last week she wanted to be the president!
