So I officially have a new category: "BFF shoots". I had so much fun shooting Victoria and Danielle and I can see why they are BFF's... they are both so full of energy and fun! Here are a few pics of the lovely besties:

Emily and Family

I recently had the wonderful privilege of shooting 9 year old Emily, her sister Skyler, and her parents, Tracey and Benjamin. They were an absolute delight to shoot with and such a wonderful family. Unfortunately, Emily is currently in a battle against brain cancer and her mother Tracey is in remission from the same disease. Despite these awful circumstances, the family was so wonderful.. so full of life, and truly an inspiration. Emily is absolutely beautiful inside and out and her amazing spirit shines through as you can tell in the photographs. I wish you guys the best in life and will keep you in my prayers every day! Thank you so much for letting me take pictures of your beautiful family!

Baby Rivers

I just love shooting newborns! They are so cute and small... and best of all they can't run around yet and you don't have to bribe them with candy! haha, just kidding! I shot the ADORABLE Christopher Rivers (they are calling him Rivers)... and it was such a nice and beautiful shoot. He was such a good baby and his parents weren't too bad either :)

Amanda and Chase

I met up with Amanda and her very cute son, Chase at Hanna Park in Atlantic Beach. The shots we got were beautiful, natural, and really show the unbreakable bond between a mother and her child. There are plenty more to come, but here's a sneak peek:

Classical Portraiture... so far

With the end of my college career rapidly approaching, my classes are becoming more and more challenging. I am taking a classical portraiture class this semester; we try to emulate famous photos of the past and I like to give them my own twist! This class is challenging, yet teaching me a tremendous amount amount about studio lighting and I know I will come out of this a better photographer! We are working with 4 by 5 black and white film but I couldn't resist taking a few with my brand new digital SLR. Here's a few of my favorites... and there will be plenty more to come :)
