About Me

My photo
My name is Lisa Silva and I just graduated UNF with my BFA in Photography.... I'm ready to take on the wedding and fashion industry full force!!! I've been involved in photography for over 11 years now. I love shooting couples, families, models, weddings, and events! My absolute favorite genre of photography is fashion and I try to incorporate it into all of my work. I love every aspect of it, from choosing the wardrobe and setting, to doing the model's makeup. I love art in all forms and I try to bring a taste of fashion and fine art into every portrait I take. But enough about me... I wanna hear about you!!! I would love to work with you to bring your vision to life... whether it be capturing all the love and emotion on your wedding day, taking pictures of your children or family, documenting your pregnancy, doing some sexy shots for your significant other.... or just unleashing your inner diva and doing a fashion shoot! The lab I work with offers amazing products... everything from wedding albums, to comp cards, to wall art, or regular prints with great quality! I look forward to meeting you and helping your vision come to life!

Lisa and Eric's Wedding Preview

Lisa and Eric were married September 19, 2009, and I was there to capture it! They were both really cool, fun people and I had a great time with the bridal party getting ready, and then riding in the limo. Their ceremony was very beautiful and special because Lisa's dad was the preacher that married them. They were both great to work with, and I wish them the best of luck! Here is a preview of some of the pictures I've edited so far:

Shoot with Amy!

I took Amy to that secret place I took Holly and Jakob on my last shoot. I'm pretty much obsessed with shooting there so expect to see alot more photos in that location.... wish I could say where it was, but I can't.... If you've lived in Jacksonville long enough, you probably know anyways!

Unlike my other models, Amy actually did her own makeup... which looked AMAZING! I'm normally pretty picky about wanting to do the model's makeup myself because I'm a makeup artist as well, but I have absolutely no complaints with Amy's.... She's better then me and can do makeup for me when ever she wants!!! We shot in an old run down creepy place, but Amy had dramatic makeup and a beautiful white dress which I think was a really nice contrast.... Oh yes, we also used one of my newest props in a few of them, and I think the mask shots are awesome!!! We also did some alternative style photography with a 120 mm Holga camera, so when I get the negatives back, I'll put those up as well!

Holly, Jakob, and MJ came to visit!

Holly is my best and oldest friend... we've been friends since we were 8! Jakob is her husband and MJ is their son. I was so excited that they came to visit and we had a blast. Me and Holly can not see each other for a year and then when we do, we just pick right back up where we left off! So we had a blast hanging out and shooting this weekend. For some family portraits, I took them to one of my favorite spots, Big Talbot Island. We got some great ones.... and one I was so proud of, I made the header of this blog! After that, we dropped MJ off with a sitter (my husband haha) and headed downtown to do some edgier and more urban couple shots of just the two of them. We shot in the most amazing location, although I'm not gonna say where it was.... It was grungy and dirty and disgusting, but just perfect for the pictures. I stepped on a rusty nail there and had to get a tetanus shot, but hey thats dedication for you! Here's some of my favorite images from the day:

Brian and Jennifer's Wedding

I shot Brian and Jennifer's wedding two days ago, and couldn't wait to get their preview up! They were a fun couple to work with, and very laid back... which is always nice on a wedding day! Jennifer has two beautiful little girls and Brian has an adorable little boy, so it was more then just a wedding, but also the merging of a new family. And as always, I felt privileged to share their special day with them. I had a blast and I can honestly say this is the first wedding I've shot where I also sang karaoke at!! Who would have thought...
